Press Release Summary = Day trading is like any other business, where you have to spend some money upfront if you want to make the business grow
Press Release Body = A zillion day trading books have been written since the huge run up in the stock market of the 90's. With so many titles out there, it is difficult for investors to narrow in on some good ones.
Dan Alvarez, CEO of Day Trading Tutor LLC in Miami, Florida, believes that most books on day trading are too general to teach investors how to trade. "Successful day traders need to have a detailed strategy to tackle the markets; not general trading information," says Alvarez. He feels that many authors provide vague information on purpose to avoid potential liability issues. He adds, "Many day trading book authors don't want to be too specific about what they write for fear that a reader might lose money implementing it. This is a shame because there are many good traders out there that have a lot to teach the world."
So should investors interested in trading even bother to read books on the subject? Alvarez says yes. He believes that while it is farfetched to learn how to trade from most day trading books out there, there are a few classics that are worth reading. He particularly likes the originally-published 1923 highly ranked classic, "Reminiscences of a Stock Operator" by Edwin Lefèvre and the more modern "Market Wizards," by Jack D. Schwager that provides interviews with well-known, successful traders around the world.
Other than reading books on day trading, Alvarez recommends using the Internet. "The Internet is packed with an endless amount of information on day trading. More information than any trading book is able to provide. Just be careful of what you read," he says. While he agrees that it is difficult to confirm the validity of the information provided by many trading websites, he believes that new traders should still spend some time browsing the web. Consequently, Alvarez shamelessly recommends his free Day Trading Tutor website as a great starting point.
